Chia Fruit Cup Recipe.

So we picked up these little fruit cups with Chia seeds. Our Two-Year-Old went BONKERS! He loves them. I didn’t hate the ingredients, but I did want to “organify” them (this is my made up word for adding organic ingredients, if that wasn’t apparent). I picked up three things to make this… Organic Chia seeds from Trader Joe’s, Fruit Juice (with NO ADDED SUGAR) and fruit. You can buy fruit cocktail with juice instead of syrup if you want to go the really easy route, but for another 30 seconds to two minutes, you can wash fruits and drop those in. I went with pear for one, Banana for one, and a fruit cocktail blend for a third one. Cost wise this is WAY less expensive (a little goes a long way with chia seeds) and it also eliminated a ridiculous amount of packing that went into two fruit cups. I used mason jars, and it couldn’t have been easier. The bananas and fruit cocktail were ready after chilling for a couple hours (to soften the chia seeds), and the pears were ready after chilling for two days (It was a really hard pear). SO EASY! Like the easiest thing ever

Cut up a large fruit into 1/2″ or 1″ cubes, add 2-3 T chia seeds, fill juice to 1″ higher than the other ingredients. Shake until most chia seeds are not floating… pop it in the fridge. SO EASY!
