I was reading someone’s pro-vaccination Facebook post, and a couple anti-vaxxers appeared and just put “statistics” with NO SOURCE on his page… Maybe they found it on Pinterest? On some anti-vaxxer site? God only knows! The data was wrong and a five second Google search would have let them know that, but that’s the cold, hard reality with anti-vaxxers…. They’re go blue in the face finding people who are equally as unhinged to back up their fairytale, even if it not only endangers their own children’s well being, but the well-being of all the people they interact with or convince with their enthusiastic speech on why vaccinating your children is wrong.

I don’t need you to believe me that vaccinations are better for your children than sending them out to spread formerly eradicated illnesses. I’m not that arrogant, and to be frank, I don’t care if you believe a word I say. What you should believe however, is every responsible doctor on the planet…. Or the World Health Organization. 

The truth about anti-vaxxers is that there is no talking to them or convincing them of anything. The reason I responded with legitimate sources to that post, and the reason I’m posting here is not because I want to turn an antivaxxer into a vaxxer…. You may as well ask for Jenny Blue when you try and reach me, because I’d be holding my breath…..

I’m writing there,… I’m writing here…. For the people on the fence. If you believe Jenny MacCarthy’s medical advice over a licensed pediatrician, you need to go back to the drawing board. The research from SOLID, REPUTABLE, SCIENTIFIC sources is available!!! Anything without a source or without a reputable source is just some dumbasses opinion. You can do better than that, and your kids and my kids (and even the unvaccinated kids’) lives are worth more than that!

Here are some reputable sources to get you started…. If you’re an anti-vaxxer, don’t bother commenting, I give zero fucks about the opinions of people who endanger the lives of other people and their children because they don’t believe in sound science. 

Some truths….

-Before anti-vaxxers were a thing, Measles had been eradicated in 1963…. 

– Polio had been 99.9% eradicated, but it, too has seen an uptick in cases in the US because of discontinuation of the use of this vaccine in 1999. We need more vaccines to compete with increasingly aggressive diseases, we don’t need fewer.

– the ONLY MEDICAL DOCTOR to suggest there is a link between autism and vaccinations was stripped of his medical license.

– 110,000 globally died in 2017 from Measles and one of the anti-vaxxers on the post I mentioned, suggested a good immune system and “staying hydrated” would keep people of dying from this.

– If you think people can’t die from this in the US, think again…. We are NOT at the top of health as a nation…. Not even close!
